John's Story
Hello to all and thank you very much for checking out my page. Just to give you a little background on the infamous John P. Rosa and my path of enlightenment (LOL). I have been affiliated with the U.S. Navy for way to long, 12 years to be more precise, and I think it is time to call it quits. I have 2 years and some change left in the military and then it is bye, bye time. You ask why if I only have 6 years left till retirement. Well, I¿ll tell. I have two reasons but the first, the more important of the two outweighs the other. I have two little minions that I love with all my heart and who are the life line to my heart and coming back from a three year tour from overseas has but strain in our relationship and I will not go through that with them again. It broke my heart that I was not here with them and I am never going to endure that pain again. I love the fact that I am a father and I love it every minute of every day that I have two miracles of life calling me daddy. They are mine and no others, except of course the mother(ex-wife). The other part is that of education. I believe in the importance of education and the doors of opportunity they open. I have busted my ass to be a positive role model for my kids and the road of education is part of that equation as well. degree would be more beneficial in the civilian sector than that of the military. That sounds more logical don¿t you thing, to use the degree to get hella money in the real world. Well, that is what I am going to do. 7 years; it has been 7 years thus far that has guided me towards the final steps of completing my education. 4 more classes and my goals will be met. Masters degree in Health Science with a concentration in Emergency and Disaster Management is not too bad considering my path in high school. All who knew me well will tell you that I was not, how can I say, college material. Well, perseverance and ambitiousness kicked in real quick and low and behold, I am 4 classes away. I'm a unique person that can be either in a good mood or in a bad mood. There is no in between. That is me, short and sweet. My attitude can in turn be my Achilles heel if I am not careful but also can be my saving grace. I know, and oxymoron, but this is the truth. That is why I can¿t wait to get out of the military. I am very voice opinionated and very blunt to say the least, and in the military that is not a very admirable trait to have. I can be educated when need be but on a regular I like to be just me. Only a few know the real John P. Rosa and those are the few who can coup. Well, that is me in a nut shell. Any question, don¿t hesitate to ask. Much love.
