i see myself as a happy pensioner now, enjoying the michigan summer in a college town. i don't miss the windowless fortress that was my high school. i do miss my classmate who lived across the street. we met in the 3rd grade? after NCHS i worked my way thru' Purdue for 3; running out of money i enlisted in the navy for vietnam. i was a mandarin interpreter (cryptoanalysis), later detailing out as a hand in the MAA shack (X division) at a forward naval air station. i worked at miami international until that economy folded; finshed my bfa in detroit at wayne. divorced (mutu...Expand for more
al) and my daughter is a research librarian. add the detroit childrens' museum, post office and ups to the work history. i have a va pension for my service in vietnam.
i miss the sycamores and the race, of course. i'd like to see the Herron again and ur childrens' museum, too. we saw the Purdue marching band in detroit...they just keep improving. theirs is the only band to be invited to the 2008 bejing olympics. wow. i'm also glad to see that smaller indiana towns aren't still in a housing bubble; indy, well, i don't know. so, that's not political. take care, everybody.
