John's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met my wife at Joe's East/West in New Paltz in 1984 and we married in 1985. Never went to any dances in school (mainly cause I thought music sucked and most girls were too shallow to see the real me). Started going to Joe's prior to entering the Air Force. Had a lot of fun and kept going there when I got out. Met some real winners but finally found Miss Right. The rest is history.
My Pets
Got adopted by our cat first, he broke the ice. Just a mixed breed who showed up on our doorstep one October day in '96. He's been with us ever since.
Our dog "Bear" is another one who my kids just fell in love with. He's a mix too: Akita, Shephard and some others. He's like one of the family and very vocal. If you ignore him, he gets your attention by growling and barking. Once you look at him, the tail starts wagging and you can't help but pet the goof.
My Kids
I have two boys, Michael an...Expand for more
d Robert. Michael is my oldest and will be 15 on November 9th. Robbie turned 13 on July 13th. Both are excellent students at Rondout Valley Central Schools. Robbie will be starting his last year at the Jr. High and Mike is starting High School this fall. Mike is very serious and I think he'll go on into a technical field either in the military or civilian world. Robbie is the clown who is a sports addict. If ESPN showed a North Korean rice eating contest, he'd probably be watching it. He says he'd like to play pro baseball some day but with his humor and interest in every sport, I think he'd make a great announcer for ESPN.
My Job
I'm a data processing operations and technology analyst assigned to the production support group at a major financial institution in Albany, NY. I was just recently assigned to the internet QA group and will co-lead the stress/load testing process for our homelink site.
