PEACE BE WITH ALL THOSE THAT READ THIS.SPECIAL PRAYERS GO OUT TO MY CLASSMATES THAT HAVE LOST A SON OR DAUGHTER IN THE WAR.I KNOW THE SORROW AND THE PRIDE, AND HOW AT TIMES IT CAN BE OVERWHELMING. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I HAVE FOUND THAT TALKING "IT OUT" HELPS A GREAT DEAL. Family and friends thought that was a "joke". As it turns out, they were dead wrong.(36 years worth of wrong). Build tunnels out of cardboard boxes and "millions" of leaves. The penny candy store in our trailer park in "Muirs" trailer park(Detroit) My first job was at "Spudnuts" Donuts, where I got paid $.70/dz. to sell donuts door to door. What I remember most about is getting up early Sat. mornings and walking all over the neighborhood selling donuts. Read about the civil war,and study med.courses. Work in wood shop My heroes were my parents and now my sons, and R.E.Lee. Ironic in a way since my birth last name was Grant! The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my son John Patrick, because he left to soon! Old Movies, collecting old U.S. paper money, and studying the constitution. All the miracles that have kept me alive. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a ground level bedroom and bath with hot tub. . My dream home is our 2 story log home on 3.6 acres. Patience, and how to deal with the over whelming pride I have in my sons. My Pe...Expand for more
ds and Obgyn Instructor. Her name was CDR.(USN) McCoy. She was there when I really needed a helping hand. She was not the only teacher I admired. Coach Jim Southard(Norland H.S.) was an incredible teacher and role model as a father. If I won $100 million, I'd give a large sum in a trust for the Dept.of Aging in this county, to those in this county without indoor plumbing or electricity and pay the power bills for the rest of their lives, then spend the rest on our children, grand children and remaining family members. My current age is 63. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be healthier and ,I was right to a small degree. A naval career. College degree. She died before finishing grade school. My best friend would tell you I'm honest and patriotic, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as crazy and out spoken. No. I wear bib-overalls on this plantation. Shorts and casual are the order of the day. No more suits, ties or coats. Uniforms only on burial details. I share my home with Amos( 25 month old Dachshund) In 10 years, I hope to be as healthy as I am now. I'm going to get there by exercising daily as I do now. PTSD -is not all that is left! My oldest friend passed away 4-6-09. Smitty was as Christian a man as you would ever meet. We met when my family moved from Utah to Pinebluff N.C.. We served as reservist together. EVERYTHING!! Join the U.S. Naval Reserve. (This action launched a wild and in some respects an incredible series of events in school and through out my life). Sure opened a lot of doors! Cost me several friends in high school. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have faith, patience, and self reliance to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
