Was Miss Chinatown NYC 1960.
Math Major Hunter College.
Worked for Blue Cross NY, LA & Hawaii, Honeywell, Tandem Computers and Wachovia Bank.
Co-Owner King Surf Hawaii - seliing surfboards, stand-up paddle boards, skate boards, body boards and surf accessories as well as Endless Summer Products. Remember the movie?
Helped open the NYC Playboy Club while attending Hunter College. Am featured in A&E TV special "The Bunny Years" and book with same title. Had a chance to work with Gloria Steniem, Lauren Hutton, Deborah Harry - and meet or appear with the Beatles, Stones, Steve McQueen, Woody Allen, Jack Lemmon, Truman Capote, Johnny Carson, Sammy Davis Jr., Bill Cosby and many other celebrities while working there.
Career has been in data processing - specializing in Project management and trouble shooting on contract. Have worked in Mexico City, Paris and numerous cities in the US.
My family has a long history involving the Giant Panda, and is featured in most books on the subject including "Chasing the Panda" which was released last year and is under movie contract. Their characters are also part of the recent IMAX movie "A Panda Adventure," and my family is featured as part of the Explorer's exhibit in the Memphis Zoo's Asia Pavillion.

Pandas to the US as part of research for a book - Lady and the Panda - released June 2005 - I have photo credit for the author's picture on the jacket. We retraced the path of the first expedition to bring live pandas back. This first panda was named after my mother Su-Lin. Movie rights were purchased and Michael Cunningham, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Hours, is writing the screenplay. Nicole Kiddman will star in the movie. I'm hoping to be a consultant.
The baby panda born in 2005 at the San Diego zoo was also named Su-Lin after my mother. My husband and I were flown out as guests of the zoo for the naming ceremonies - interviewed on several tv stations. Will participate in the reopening ceremonies/filming for the Wolong Panda Reserve which was destroyed in the 2008 earthquake.
Have traveled extensively for diving including the Red Sea, Fiji, Australia, Bali, Philippines, Honduras (whale sharks!) as well as numerous sites in the Caribbean and Mexico.
Currently working with researchers documenting my father's accomplishments as naturalist, mountaineer and military intelligence. He was on numerous expeditions for pandas and other wildlife for zoos and museums - including the Roosevelt expedition in China. He was part of the team that held a 25 yr. record for highest mountain climbed by Americans. He was recipient of Medal of Freedom, was military intelligence in WW II, Korea and Vietnam, and was political liason for Chiang Kai Shek.
