Jonathan's Story
Life
Dropped out of high school and clubbed for a couple of years. Joined the US Army Infantry Corps in 1993. Continued partying until becoming a committed Christian in 1996. Finished my last duty assignment in Germany, where I stayed after separating to be a student of Jewish Studies and classical Semitic languages. Got married in 2000 to a beautiful Russian woman I'd met in Germany but who had since moved to the US. The deal also got me my precious step-daughter Veronica. Had to relocate to the US before completing my education on account of my wife's difficulties immigrating to Germany. Lived in Austin and worked in a factory for the first part of 2000. Joined the Army Reserve and got sent to Monterey California to be a Military Intelligence Arabic linguist later that year. Had my daughter Alia while in California. nts under any circumstances. Moved to Dallas and got a job with the Transportation Security Administration in 2002. Struggled financially while looking for something better. Got accepted back into the Active Army as a Field Artillery officer in 2003. Was sent to Iraq with the 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery Regiment late 2004 where I did force protection, intelligence, and logistics for my unit. Got back in Jan 2006 and worked as the Battalion Intelligence Officer until transferring to the Military Intelligence branch and attending the Military Intellience Captains' Career Course at Fort Huachuca, AZ through the end of 2007. Came down on orders for a second tour in Iraq as an intelligence advisor on a Military Transition team with the task of standing up the Iraqi Army. Also started studying for a Master of Divinity through Liberty Seminary's Distance Learning Program. I'm currently scheduled to go back to DLI to learn Russian in 2009.
