Jonne's Story
College:
Got my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from the University of Washington right after high school. Minored in Geology, along with a lot of credits in Anthropology.
Also completed a Master of Science degree from the University of Oregon in 1973 majoring in Art Education with a thesis in Photographic Education. Took Journalism courses as electives.
Career:
Taught art and photography at the secondary level for 32 years in public schools in Washington and Oregon. Added instruction in computer graphic art and desktop publishing beginning in 1984 (On Apple II's). rom 1984 until 2000, when I "retired" from teaching.
After I retired, I opened my own Commercial and Fine Art Photography business focusing on product photography which I ran until the 2007-08 recession "closed the doors". Was fun while it lasted. Major clients included Weyerhauser, Glencoe Publishing, Jeld-Wen (Real Estate Development Branch) and local Realtors. A real surprise for a city gal...got in with the local ranching community and started doing livestoock photography for web pages and sales brochures featuring cattle, horses, sheep, and yes, even pigs! Whoa! Always did get along with animals!
