Jose's Story
Dear friends,
It has been a long time indeed since we shared a moment in time.
From Pope John I went to Yale to get a BS in physics in 1970 and from there to Harvard Medical School. I took an added year of research at HMS and graduated in 1975.
I then went to Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC where I did internal medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship, finishing in July 1980.

shed several of the original papers on HIV and became an expert on this condition.
I worked in New York for 25 years and then moved to Orlando Florida where I still live and work.
I am still practicing and caring for a large HIV population as well as a variety of otherr unusual conditions.
It has been quite an experience since I came to the United States from Cuba in 1962.
I remember Pope John fondly and all of you with whom I interacted.
I am happy you have had rich lives and wish you the best.
My best to you all,
Jose
