Joseph's Story
Life
After graduating from high school, I performed with the Walt Disney World Band part-time and worked for Martin Marietta Aerospace until the economy took a downturn. I joined the Army in March of 1974, was stationed in Atlanta, GA (Forces Command Band), Norfolk, VA (Navy School of Music...Expand for more
), and moved to the US Military Academy Band at West Point, NY in July of 1977. I retired from the West Point Band in August 2001 after more than 27 years service. I am currently working in the federal civil service as a software engineer at West Point and also perform with several bands.
