Joseph S.'s Story
After high school attended Jr College till 1966. Did not have enough class hours and received a draft notice for the military. Then really got stupid and enlisted in the Army, (Dumb).
After Basic, had training on a LARC, it is similar to the Duck in Branson. Had orders for Vietnam after that 1966-67. After I arrived in country my order's were switched to outside of Saigon on LCM 6 & LCM 8 boats transporting people up and down the rivers around Saigon & the South China sea. Then I was blessed and asked to work in the office, & then everyone was sick and shipped out of the supply room and I was moved over to the supply room and ran that until a Supply Sargent could be assigned to the unit. After Vietnam I was assigned to Fairbanks Alaska until 1969, The Lord blessed me in Vietnam & Alaska.
After discharge I became a Printer in Local 505, did that until I went on disability in 2003.
I married Kathy Baker from Mehlville class of 1966, we where married in August 1969 all most forty one years next August. We have one son Chris married 12 years to Lisa and two granddaughters two years old & 5 years old. One Daughter Amy married 12 years to Travis and one grandson Carter 8 years old. Kathy and I live in Fenton since 1970 in the same house we bought when we moved out here. One of my favorite past times is Trout Fishing with a fly rod, I make my own flies, fly rods and spinning and bait casting rods. Make wooden landing nets from Cherry, oak, ash, walnut woods.
That's about it with not becoming boring. Joe
