Joseph's Story
Life
I currently live in Jacksonville, FL with my girlfriend and her two cats. We met while I was stationed in Norfolk, VA and moved in together Thanksgiving weekend of 2004. Bought a house when I transferred to Jacksonville and love the area. Haven't kept in touch with anyone from high school in awhile. My mom and brother have kept me up to date with some things, but would love to hear from some people.
School
This is probably the most awkward section. I did have a few crushes and it seems maybe every one of them has gotten married since high school. Unfortunately, I was lame when I lived in KY and didn't date any of them. If you really want to know if you were one of them, feel free to ask. As for changes I would have made, I definately wouldn't have done what I did to get expelled my Junior year. That'll probably be the only thing people remember me by.
Workplace
Before there was a McDonalds, there was Dairy Queen in the small town of Edmonton, KY. I worked there for about two years and can honestly say that was very good for getting me out of the house and having more of a life. Did I mention t...Expand for more
hat I was lame then? After over 7 years in the Navy, I now work on dialysis machines. Doesn't pay great, but I'm not getting uprooted and shipped all over the world.
Military
Joined the U.S. Navy in 1997. Boot camp was in Great Lakes, IL. In early 1998, I went to the Nuclear Training Command in Orlando, FL. Unfortunately, Orlando was a blast and took some study time away. So, after I was dropped due to academic issues, I went back to Great Lakes for Electronics training. Finished my training in San Diego, CA, which was possibly more fun than Orlando. I arrived at my ship in June 1999 till December 2002. I was on the USS Arleigh Burke DDG-51 and made some of the best friends you could ask for. While there, I reenlisted to stay in the Navy till March 28,2005. Don't worry... they paid me well. From the ship, I continued my training at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. Casinos are a weakness, but considering the free beer I drank, I feel I brought even. I arrived in Jacksonville, FL in May 2003. Bought a home, finished my military contract, moved in a potential "old lady", and things are going pretty well.
