Joy's Story
Well, I am now 54...where has the time flown? I didn't get married for good until I was 39, and approximately a year and 1/4 gave birth to a healthy baby girl, after drs said I couldn't get pregnant. Boy, what do drs know that God doesn't know better? She is now 13, almost 14, and the love of my life. Her dad and I split up several years back, but we remain friends even though he is remarried. I have MS and some other degenerative diseases that keep me homebound most days, but I praise God that I am still alive and kicking! I haven't done much with my life until I was given Myriam to watch over, but now am very active with her schooling and all that pertains to it. I am still about the same weight as I was in school...heavy...but am trying to lose some weight s...Expand for more
o I can keep up with her! Some days I think that I can conquer the world, some days it is a struggle for me to move. Such is life, and I LOVE living! Just because I am hindered doesn't mean I am just going to take it lying down! I enjoy going swimming, horseback riding and even go camping with our camper in tow. Life is good, and it's up to you to make it what you want. God doesn't hand a good life to us on a silver platter, but He is with us on our journey. I hope that your journey in life is as exciting as mine. I wouldn't want to go through it again, but I am glad I did go through it, because God was with me all the way and He has given me things beyond my wildest imaginings. I hope that God has been good to you too.
