Joyce's Story
Life
I am married to a wonderful man that I met while I was in college. Donald and I have three grown sons, all married, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. (The best part of parenting is when the grandchildren come on the scene.) We own a small home on some land up into the foothills of Northeast Washington. We have lived in Washington since 1974. I own six horses which I just love to ride and two very big and loveable dogs. We have raised our sons on skis, so I am a snow person. Winter is my favorite time of year. I enjoy a warm fire with a good book, and hot chocolate, while wrapped up in a furry blanket, enjoying the snow falling outside my window...Expand for more
. I enjoy my garden which is 75 feet by 30 feet. Just big enough to grow everything we love to eat. At home I sew quilt, can food, and play the piano. Away from home, we ski, snowmobile, hike, and backpack. I miss friends from high school but have some great friends at our church. I helped my husband with his flooring installation business for many years. But I have done nursing, and worked in surgery as an assistant. I also homeschooled my children for some years. Right now I am pretty satisfied with my life. I manage our youngest son's trucking company, have children we are proud of, and can't wait for retirement. I hope to hear from some old classmates.
