Judith's Story

I was born in Strasburg, ND, on April 28, 1939, at the Alicia a nd Joe Bauman house. I attended both grade and high school in Strasburg before graduating in 1957 (as valedictotian), after which I attended Mount Marty College with a major in Education and minors in English, German and theology. Watertown,--Mother of God Monastery. After moving to various other locations to perform my ministry in teaching (in grade school, high school, college and adult ed; pastoral care and community administration, I retired in 1917 and moved back to Mother of God Monastery in Watertown, SD, where I now live. Currently, our community is involved in a future planning committee for our monastery land just south of Watertown--an interesting and challenging project..
