Judith's Story
Update: Well, most of you know I moved from NJ to AZ in the summer between my Jr. and Sr year. (July "83) I left Newton High and tried not to look back as it pretty much sucked to leave and it hurt too much to look back. Once I got to AZ, I made some really good friends and started some pretty special relationships.
Jobs that I have had since HS: Did the old waitressing at Carlos Murphy's for a while then went into Law Enforcement. Worked in the Arizona State Juvenile Prison System then transferred into the Adult venue. Left that in 1996 as that pretty much sucked too. Began working with the Cochise County Juvenile Court Services as a Detention Supervisor. Did that until 1999 when I stumbled on my current career. I currently work with Arizona's Children Association (arizonaschildren.org) in Sierra Vista, Az, where I supervise 16 poeple who work with children and families who are directly affiliated with Child Protective Services. I also supervise 6 people who complete home studies for placements of out of state children who have been either removed from their parents or displaced for whatever reason. ...Expand for more
Family: While working in the prison system, I met my husband Pat. The joke is that we met in prison. (anyone remembering me would understand) We were married in 1991 and raised our family together.
Yes, Pat and I met in prison in 1988. He had two children from a previous marraige that I automatically fell in love with. They were Dana 5 and Jessica 3 when we met.
#1 - Dana is now 25 and is in the Coast Guard. He is stationed in Seattle and in a serious relationship. (... Read Morehopefuly the grandchildren come sooner than later)(hint, hint Dana and Milania)
#2 - Jessica is now 23 and is in her senior year at ASU. She is persuing her career in Social Services taking after her old mom and dad. She too is in a serious relationship. (again, the old grandchildren thing applies Jess and Angel)
#3 - Trevor is getting ready to turn 18 on January 1st. He has graduated HS early and is currently working full time in Sierra Vista. He's seriously contemplating walking in his older brothers footsteps and going into the Coast Gaurd. Loves to hang out with his friends and party. (the apple doesn't fall far you know)
