Judith's Story

Life..... In 1979 my sister-in-law Roberta and I traveled to BEAUFORT MARINE CORPS AIR STATION in SC from RP to pick up my brother John for Christmas leave. When we arrived I met and fell in love with John's barracks buddy Michael "Bear" NOTCHICK from RI. We were married November 22, 1980 and after 8 years I gave birth to our one and only child. Jeremy turned my life around as I realized I was no longer simply responsible for me but the safety and wellbeing of a precious child. I was Born Again the following year in 1989. I chose to remain a stay at home Mom as Jeremy had special needs and I volunteered in his classes throughout his Kindergarten-Second Grades. I was also writing a book, led a community Bible Study for women for over 12 years and was very much involved in Lay Ministry leading Women's Fellowship, Editor of the church newsletter, sang on Praise & Worship Teams and Choirs and in 2007 became part of a Motorcycle Ministry then birthed our own the following year. Mike, Jeremy and I had our own motorcycles. When our son entered Middle School we spent over 30yrs in Bellflower CA, he entered the schools Instrumental Music Program and we were part of birthing a Booster Association doing everything from pushing pulling loading and unloading equipment as the program competed all year round starting with Field Shows, Football Games, Drum-line Competitions, Jazz & Concert Band Performances. An experience I knew nothing about because of my lifestyle while at RPHS. We had a blast! In 2005 I began working for a worldwide Evangelistic Ministry Living Waters Publications who produced the television show THE WAY OF THE MASTER. Thought I served briefly as a Customer Service Clerk, I became the Executive Assistant and supported the TV show by providing Kraft Services for on location film shoots, worked with contracts for television and radio networks. I was diagnosed with Gallbladder disease in late 2008 and had surgery in June 2009. I was back to work and back on my motorcycle after a long weekend. However, I began to develop difficulty breathing (I had asthma since a teen) and fever but it would take several weeks to finall...Expand for more
y get a diagnosis. Acinetobacter baumannii (PCR) which was the first of several Hospital borne Super Bugs I had caught during my gallbladder surgery! I was hospitalized for over 4 months and had to be placed on life support and in a medically induced coma to save my life. Everything was against me but I'm a Survivor! I was finally released to home in September 2009 but ended up disabled. I tried going back to work in 2010 part time then working remote from home but just couldn't do it. I left my career behind 01/31/2011. Our son married his HS sweetheart in 2007 and they lived with us while she attended Cerritos College earning an Associate's Degree. My husband had left the USMC in 1992 after over 14yrs and after 7 months became a Pressman on metal and plastic buckets. He did that for 16 years then worked for the city. In 2012 Jeremy and his wife relocated to Helena Montana and in June of 2015 Mike & I followed. And in April 2016 our beautiful granddaughter Savannah Hope was born. It has been an adventure as I have done lots of Freelance Writing for magazines, small newspapers and had to put my book projects on hold for now. On November 22, 2021 (41rst Anniversary), Mike and I together filed for divorce and it was granted December 3, 2021. I am now renting a room on our Capital cities West Side awaiting Public Housing. I am eager to have my own place for the first time in my life! So I can complete and publish my books. My first one is entitled: FROM VICTIM TO VICTOR - Leaving the Shame Behind. The book focuses upon my survival being a victim of abuse in the home I grew up in as well as being victimized throughout our Village surviving multiple brutal rapes in my teens. How many others who we may have mislabeled were in fact victims. I've lived in SC, HI, CA and now Montana which is the most beautiful state with the most amazingly kind and generous people! Though our Winters are not for the meek, this is my last stop before Heaven. I struggle with many physical and mental health issues but the worst is COPD Stage II. I've overcome so many mountains but not without God's merciful and faithful assistance 💐

Being a supporter of Veterans. I'm going to make a bet, without being too pessimistic, that out of friends, that less than 25 will take the time to put this on their wall. You just have to copy it from my wall and paste it
I will treasure the day I took this photo forever...It was our last bike ride together 😊
