Judy's Story
Life
I attended O'Farrell for 7th grade and 1/2 of 8th. My family moved to Arkansas in 1967. I'd have graduated from Morse High School in 1971 if we'd stayed in San Diego.
C'est la vie. I graduated from Marion High School in 1971 and did not go immediately to college (big mistake). I married the wrong person but had two absolutely wonderful kids - Katie and Marcus, both now grown. Katie is finishing her master's degree this month but will probably be a professional student. She hopes to get a PhD and teach directing at the college level. Marcus has a gift with technology, rather educated himself and works for Cisco Systems. I am co-dependent when it comes to most technology.

r but I finally did. My terrific husband and I have been married for 19 years. He has supported me as I returned to college to finish my bachelor's and master's degrees. I am a reading specialist and teach literacy in 7th grade (or try anyway - 7th graders are temporarily insane). When I married Ronnie, I became mom again to his two great kids - now grown. We have one grandchild.
That is how I live now - nothing amazing but nothing devastating. Both of my parents are still living (next door:). We are a close family and enjoy each other's company.
I must say, I never expected much in the way of achievement from myself (big mistake) so I am proud to have taught for the last ten years and given my students a chance to love reading.
