Judy's Story

Life Hi Ya'll. I decided to edit my bio because it has changed. Of course it would change, it has been 5 years. Anyway, I continue to live in Lubbock Texas and continue to be married to Eddie for 27 years and have three nice boys - Ezra Paul - 25 and is married to a wonder lady named Lin, Jacob Elihu Mann - 22 - got his associate degree in Commercial Music and is currently working on a computer degree and working at MHMR as a community supports trainer and Joshua " Ein" Mann - 11 who is so glad he is entering middle school where he can talk at lunch. We continue to support the animal cause and have two shelties, a cockitiel named Picasso and a new puppy named Moses. Moses is half long haired dachaund/shitzu. He is adorable and feisty. Anyway, My husband is in the maintenance business with a private provider for individuals with mental retardation. I work as a QMRP at Lubbock Regional MHMR and have done so for the last 18 years. I worked in the ICF program at MHMR for 15 years and have worked in the HCS program for 3 years. About the time I began working in the HCS Program my wonderful mother passed away from cancer. She is with our Lord and savior. Before I began as a QMRP I worked in the field that I got my degree in - Music Therapy but I was not feeling rewarded and sought more challenging avenues. I continue to work with the youth choir at church and went to Florida with them in June and had a blast. I also sing in the adult choir in the alto section and choir is such an important part of my life. This year I decided to branch out and try out for the outdoor musical theater group for Music Man and will sing in the Chorus. I think I won't have to do that much dancing. lol. ABout my children......Expand for more
. LIke I said earlier, Paul is married and graduated from college with a degree in Print Journalism and is a struggling business reporter with the Pinebluff Commerical Newspaper. He gets his movie reviews in as well as his opinion colums in as well. Lin is a CNA and hopes to go to Nursing School in the Spring. Eli - he nows call himself Jacob is still in college but I hear there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Ein is going to be in 6th grade and hopes to improve in cross country track as well as continue to participate in church choir and boyscouts. He just earned his tenderfoot and will be leaving for camp in a week to work toward his next step in scouts. He also participated in Singing in the Rain as Young Don and will be in the Music Man dancing in the Library Scene as well as singing in the chorus. By the way, I love connecting with all the rest of my young classmates so write. It would be great to have another highschool reunion someday. All in all life is good and God is great. School After highschool I went to UTEP and started majoring in sociology, then changed to Music Ed. Then went TWU in Denton and majored in Music Therapy. My favorite teacher or should I say teachers were Mr. Webber, Mr. Lotspeich, Mr. Tackett. I think I would have stayed in Sociology and gotten my Social work degree cause that is what I am currently doing at MHMR in Lubbock. I have 3 children-all boys. My kids are 25, 22, and 11. Workplace When I graduated from college I went to work at Lubbock State School as a Music Therapist. I worked there for 11 years and then went to work for MHMR in Lubbock Texas as a Qualified Mental Health Mental Retardation Professional or as I would call it, a glorified Case manager.
