Judy's Story

Getting shorter, finally have to wear glasses and possibly a hearing aid in one ear.. I have decorated a lot of people's houses with little pay, but it still was fun. I also have made so many scrapbooks and mini books and sold them. For rellaxation I love and walkingg around the Notre Dame Campus, it's very spiritul for me but it is definitely exciting during football games. My other relaxation for the day is reading before I go to bed sometimes for 2 hrs. So yes, I'm a night person and llikes to sleep in. Maybe this isn't the craziest thinkg most kids did in High School. But during the last week of senior year, a lot of us girls took our school emblem off of those hideous uniforms that we were for yrs. and pinned them upside down. Wouldn't you know that was the day they had the ceremony for the National HOnor Society and I was announced as a a member. Yes, Sister Ann Collette noticed.!!!!!!!!!!! I have lived in Santa Cruz, Calif, San Francisco, Calif., Idaho Fall, Idaho, Groton, Conn, Charleston, South Carolina, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Hartford, Conn, Columbus, ohio, and now here in South Bend Indiana Most of the moves were due to the fact Jeb was an officer in the Navy on submarines. We, moved back to Ohio for 9yrs and then Jeb was transferred here in Ind, we've been here for 13yrs . I love college football, soccer. I like Dancing with the Stars, House, Grey's Anatomy, NYPD,SVU., NCIS and the cooking channel. I collect angels, books, and scrapbooking. Our daughter, Jamie is 23, graduated from college last yr majoring in Mass communication. Now she is in Chicago, getting another degreee in Fashion Merchandising. She has loved Chigago since she was 10 and dreamt of living a...Expand for more
nd working there. She has a small but cute apartment on the lake near the Navy Pier. We have a lovely home but we need to downsize to one floor. But we aren"t going to move until Jeb is ready to reitire. He is a nuclear contractor at a nuclear plant across the state in Michigan. When we do retire, we'v decided somewhere in the Smokey MOuntains near Ashville, North, Carolina. We don't like the heat and we so tired of the cold, snowy, lake eftect snowstorms we have up here in NOrthern Indiana. , Mr. Raterman, was my favorite teacher, probably for the same reasons a lot of kids would say.t My worst teacher, I hope nobody is in touch with him anymore, but it was Fr.Bensman. He was so concerned about the cheerleaders ridiing the same bus with the players to away games, he tried to get parents to drive. Then he told us Peyton Place was a sin to watch on TV. So, like a dummy, I went to confession and confessed it to him. MY gosh, the leacture I received and the penace, I was on my knees praying so long, my knees went numb.I met my best friend 40yrs ago, in California, both of our husbands were submariners. She and I joined a Bridge Club. She lives in Texas now, and we see each other about every 5 years. Time is going by so quickly, I lost my father 26yrs ago, and my 88yr old mother is not doing well. Of course how can it be possible that we have lost classmates at such early ages? Hope all is well as can be with my classmates of HOlyAngels HIgh School, class of 1965. I t just so happened just a few weeks ago, in a box at Jeb's mothers house, we found my high school ring. It is so tiny, barely fits my pinky, but looks as good as new. My daughter wants it someday, what a memory.
