Juleen's Story
Life
Hi there, it's Juleen Hossack, OK, no longer Hossack but still Juleen! Right after graduating from good ole Longmont High School (where I had wonderful times) I headed south to hot Arizona. Thought I was gonna melt from the heat in the ASU dorm I moved into but finally got aclimated. After graduating with a degree in Education, I started my teaching career. In 1965, Tom and I were married and I am very blessed to have this guy in my life! 1968 brought us our daughter, Terri, who has her Doctorate in Virology (study of viruses) and truthfully, I don't understand much of what she says. Terri is also an author, has her first novel out, Rabid, and her second book, Callous, will be coming out in June, 2008. Terri is married and has one darling son, Dylan, age 3. Our son, Lance, arrived in 1971. Lance is married and has two daughters (Paige, 16, and Taylor, 3--had a little problem getting number two child started!) Lance is the superintendent of a large construction company in P...Expand for more
hoenix. After our children were in school, I returned to teaching in an area of Phoenix known as "da hood" or "el barrio". Teaching was tough at times, some of these kids have horrendous lives, but I hope I made a difference for them. I did love teaching! Tom, my hubby, was also a teacher (different districts) so we had much in common to share each day. We have been retired now for 6 years (whooo hoooo!!!) and life is good! After many years in Phoenix, we now live in Surprise, Arizona and do a lot of traveling, especially to Hawaii. I know, I know, life is rough for us, but I have had a home based travel agency, Destination Paradise, for about 11 years and Hawaii is the only destination I book. Thus, we HAVE TO go there to check out hotels, restaurants, adventures etc <grin>. I love helping others travel to a place I adore! Anyway, life is good, I sincerely hope yours is too! Would enjoy hearing from you all. I miss Colorado but Arizona is where my heart (and family) is now.
