Julia's Story
Life
My high school sweetheart, David, and I were finally married Aug 1975. After we both graduated from Texas Tech we moved to Oklahoma City for 18 months and then to Denver, Co for the next 17 years. When the company David works for closed the office we were transferred to Houston, TX. 3 years later, Oct 1997, we were transferred to a place called Cairo,Egypt where we are still living. Our only son, Chris, graduated high school at the Pyrimids in 2001. He graduated Dec 2007 from LeTourneau University in Longview, TX. In Jan, he joined the Marines. ntry two more times for vacations. Our favorite place so far is Tanzania on safari. I did enjoy Isreal a lot and very thankful we were able to spend 10 days there before the recent uprisings. Recently (2008) we purchased land in McKinney, TX where we hope to build a home and retire. We are not sure how long we will be in Egypt(probably until we can early retire) but if anyone is looking for a unique place to vacation we will gladly take care of you here and show you the tourist sites as well as the normal day to day living.
2009 update: Last year we purchased a Harley Davidson in Egypt. We have put over 12000 miles on it in one year. We were having so much fun, we bought the second one in the States! We did 5800 miles this summer. Tx, up the western Rockies to Montana, down the eastern side of the Rockies, back to TX. It was great fun.
