Julie's Story
I am married and have a 5 year-old son (the biggest blessing of my life!)
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. I taught High School Spanish, English, and Journalism for about 10 years. Then I moved to Mexico to teach English as a Second Language to executive in large corporations (GE Capital, Quaker State, Arthur Anderson, etc.). The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Dana Douglass, because I miss her and wonder what and how she is doing now. I'd also like to see Theresa Hurban for the same reasons -- I haven't seen either of them since Freshman year of college.
My current age is 40. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be out-of-touch and ancient. I was so completely wrong (though I feel kind of ancient some days!).
