Julie's Story
After I graduated, worked on pediatrics, met my husband who was working in respiratory.... Went to work in ED in Brockton , got married then moved to Australia. Worked in ED there for 2 years and made life long friends. Left work, travelled thru Australia, then backpacked thru Southeast Asia.. Life changing experiences! Returned to US ..... Worked in a tiny ED in while living in Marblehead MA had my first child, had the luxury of staying home with her. Moved to PA , had my second daughter while working at ED in Bucks County. Remained there until daughters attended High School, then moved to Alabama, working in an ED in Fairhope AL very close to the Gulf of Mexico... Deciding I needed to be by a large body of water! uter education, which turned into repairing computers rather than teaching... Not what I wanted to be doing , took a job with a company that installed medical software in hospitals.... Loved the traveling... Loved the teaching.... Installed the system in a small hospital in Oregon... Right on the Pacific coast.... Remember needed to be near a large body of water.... Well the Pacific Ocean qualifies !! .Moved to OR & . Worked as a informatics RN ... Then retired... Couldn't be sedentary, so took a job with the local Community College teaching... Back with my love of teaching... Bringing back memories of learning at Quincy City.... Talk about a full circle!!! Living in a 7,000 square foot home overlooking the Pacific Ocean, still married to my first love, and now have A beautiful granddaughter ....Happy & content!!!
