I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up so I keep trying on hats. I've been an RN with a clinical specialty in mental health for 25 years, the mother of a stellar son for 28 years and the grandmother of 2 fabulous boys for almost 8 years. Unexpected success in professional and community theater struck in my 30's as did the singing bug, a critter that had lain dormant for many years. I met my music partner when we were both cast in The Rocky Horror Show and that took me on a side trip I am still traveling. I lived in Southeast Alaska for the better part of 2 decades and still call it home, though my physical self has changed venues. I have flown south to the land of silicone, fish tacos, roads that go on forever instead of a teasing 20 miles and the traffic that goes with them, and 340 days of summery sunshine a year. That makes up for the silicone and having Arnold as a governor.... Not sure who is more embarrassing: Sarah or Arnold. I have taken the road less traveled, many times, in fact.
