Julie's Story
Where to start...before I settled down here in Boulder, CO I moved around a lot to places like Ypsilanti, MI; Chicago, IL; Tampa, FL and now Boulder, CO.
When I moved out to Colorado it took 2 years to get used to the high altitude, 6 years to get used to not being surrounded by oceans or the Great Lakes, and 1 year to laugh at every last person who buys a speed boat in the state of Colorado. Speed boats in Colorado have no where to go except right smack into a mountain side.
Ed and I met in 2002 and have been together since. We recently remodeled the upstairs of the house by ourselves, a project I only want to do once. But, it looks really nice as we decorated in a rustic style. I think if we could afford a log cabin house we would purchase one. Ed and I have 4 beautiful, very spoiled cats name Jacqueline, Sophia, Puss and Boots. We basically live a quiet life snuggled up against the Rocky Mountains. Ed enjoys spending time in his garage fixing and building classic cars such as his '69 Mustang Convertibl...Expand for more
e and he loves to brew beer from scratch. Ed is a Mechanical Engineer by trade.
I do technical support, but studying to be a web developer. I'm not much of a book reader, but loved reading Harry Potter. I prefer quiet over noise...my Jeep does not have a radio in it. I enjoy looking up at the sky and never tire of seeing the Rocky Mountains out my door step. I love sports as football ranks at the top of the list. Go Broncos!
I am still a pretty quiet person. I don't care for bars or loud parties, preferring to be up in the mountains or working out. My sense of humor is anywhere from dry to sarcastic to I should not have said that because it just got me into trouble. I am no longer in band (played the trumpet), but have always messed around with composing music.
I'm a black belt in Shao-Lin Kung Fu, which includes both external training (animal styles and weapons) and internal training (Tai Chi, I Chin Ching for example). If I could devote my life to the this art I would.
