Julie's Story

(2008)I am currently just outside Boise, Idaho in Nampa. We moved here 4 years ago when my husband was offered a chance to fly a very nice airplane for the company he worked for at the time, a Pilatus, PC-12. Looks like we may be here for awhile. Idaho is beautiful in a totally different way then the Pacific Northwest. It is high desert with mountains. I love in 30% humidity now and only 13 inches of rain a year and I like it! I have been with my husband, Terry, coming up on 23 years this July. We have two beautiful daughters. Crystal, 17, and Laura, 13. Crystal is about to start her senior year this fall and is looking at colleges already. She wants to study marine biology and fish husbandry and open up her own aquarium shop and catch exotic fish on the side, she is learning to fly from her father and also is thinking seriously about learning to dive soon. Meanwhile, we have 4 fish tanks (salt and fresh) with fish and another 4 waiting for assorted exotics to move into them. Laura starts High School this fall, she was accepted into the Meridian Medical High School, she isn't sure if she wants to be a Doctor or a massage therapist....Expand for more
..sigh. I have done a lot in the last 20 some years, been an EMT, Paramedic, MP in the army, and a physical therapist for patients with extremely low IQs and now I am relaxing working with DirecTV on the 3rd shift, the quiet shift, basically for the awesome benefits, my husband¿s job, though completely cool, has crappy benefits. If you call DTV after midnight MST you have a 1 in 50 chance to talk to me... isn't that special? I am thinking about going back to college to be an ER doc, either that our get my Bachelors degree in ancient cultures and languages. I already have a degree in Applied Science - Paramedic In our downtime we camp, hike, hang out in the backyard and our other slightly odd family hobby is panning for gold, this here is gold country. I lived in Alaska for 30+ years and never once picked up a gold pan, now that I don't live there I pan. I am such an idiot. I also dabble with MMORPGs on occasion. Anyway, enough babbling, if you want to follow my life you can go to amiluszoo.blogspot.com. I started a blog to keep my family up to date on life and such mundane things like the grandkids and the zoo that lives in my house.
