Julie's Story
Life
I left Lancaster for the Air Force on 8-3-89. I was assigned to McChord AFB in Tacoma, WA on 3-18-90. I met my husband, Kevin, in the dorms his first day on base, and we have been married since 10-1-91. We have a 15 year old daughter, Katelyn, and 10 year old son, Hunter, a Black Lab named Scout, and a Boston Terrier named Todd and a beautiful new cat we found in our horse barn now named Max. My beloved cat, Turtle, died at the age of 14 in September 2005. After ten years in Tacoma, Washington, and four years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 4 years in Valdosta, Georgia, we are now stationed in Saint Joseph, Missouri. I graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Workforce Education and Development.
College

hern Illinois University on Kirtland AFB from September 2003 thru August 2004. We moved to Valdosta GA and I continued my education at Valdosta State University for one year. I finished up my required classes with Park University and Georgia Military College. I graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education and Development in March 2007.
Military
I spent my first year on base as a wild ride with CCT friends. I worked at the MPF and loved every minute of it and loved every single customer that came through my door. I met my future husband in the dorms and we were married 4 short months later. Tragedy happened when two C-141s collided over Montana killing everyone on board. Luckily my fly boy was home safe and sound.
