Julie's Story
Life
From 1999 to 2006, I worked as an intellectual property litigator, specifically focusing on patent law. I lived in D.C. for several years before moving back to the Dayton area to be closer to my family. During the last few years of my private practice, I worked as an adjunct professor. So, in the summer of 2006, I gave up the billable hour requirement and accepted a full-time professorship at the University of Dayton School of Law. I now teach research and writing to first year law students interested in intellectual property law. It is a very rewarding career... and having weekends, holidays and summers off is a nice perk!
