CLASS OF 2003

Julimar's Story

My current age is 23. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be completely stable and free, with no problems finding a job or keeping friends. I was so completely wrong. Lately, I've found myself wondering about the meaning of friendship and how much is it worth it to keep "friends" who aren't really close. One thing I've realized is that I'd like to be remembered as someone who cared about others, instead of having people who supposedly care about me focusing only on my flaws...Expand for more
. I feel too many people have taken advantage of that; I give too much of myself and am never allowed to expect something in return (can't I vent??) I've changed so much through time, sometimes I don't know who I am. Can't remember well who I was and how it felt. Guess if I even decided to go to a high school reunion, people might be surprised at how "normal" I look or how less of a goody-two-shoes I turned out to be. I got no clue; it will all depend on the perspective others had of me.
