Kailani / Glinda's Story
Currently I am happily married to a wonderful man. We will be renewing my vows in the year of 2009, which will be our 25th anniversary (silver) and we are empty nesters. Yay! It's like honeymooning all over again. We love to travel and plan to go on a LONG cruise next year to celebrate our silver anniversary and renew our vows before we take off.
I met my husband when I was on Guam in the Police Department (he was in the Air Force). After we married we were stationed at Minot, North Dakota. He completed his tour of duty and we moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where his family lives.
My husband is a Police Officer in Indianapolis and I work full-time and attend two separate Universities as a double major.
My first college is IUPUI but I claim Purdue University. Go Boilermakers! Go black & gold! I am seeking my B.S. in Computer Programming at IUPUI through the school of Purdue Engineering and Technology. I was selected into the National Honor Society after I achieved my GPA of 3.5...Expand for more
0 and am very proud of being an Alpha Sigma / Zeta Chi Chapter. My second degree is Business Administration at Martin University where I am an honor student as well.
We have one son, who is my miracle child and my hero. My son is in the Navy currently stationed at Fallon, Nevada. I am very proud of his accomplishments in the military.
I am a computer geekette and claim that title rather proudly. My hobbies include reading books written by African American writers and the Bible. I love gardening, and hope to get my motor-cycle license and want a Harley so bad!!!
I enjoy jazz music, the arts, gardening, yoga, belly dancing (which my husband loves *wink-wink), and spending time with the LOVE OF MY LIFE, my husband, and my son.
The most influential person in my life is Dr. L. Wayne Smith aka Pastor/Dr. Smith. His favorite quote, "Go forth and gently conquer the land within." My favorite quote and what I live by: "To unpathed waters, undreamed shores." William Shakespeare.
