Kane's Story

Life Recently single, after 13 great years of marriage, so I'm adjusting to life as a middle age bachelor! I have a 20 year old stepson I'm very close to, who lives out of state. My professional life can be a bit hectic, but one perk of my firefighting profession is a lot of time off. My favorite use of that is travel. I've ridden my motorcycle all over the US, and also have traveled to Mexico, Canada, Jamaica (numerous times), Belize, and a month in Spain. Still playing, singing, and performing music. I play professionally in the area of Florida's central east coast. School Overall, I had a great time in high school, although I was definitely ready to leave when the time came. I got a lot of education from choir teacher Craig Plotner, since we spent so many hours together in rehersals, etc, over those four years. I think I got more life-lesson type education from drama/goverment teacher Mr. Liveratos, who I understand passed away a few years after I graduated. I loved Mr Bunge's French classes, even though I goofed off all the time, and can hardly speak any French now! I always enjoyed that class, and looked forward to another hour in his company. Wally George was great, both in English classes, and in the Karate Club. Memories of some football coaches have stuck with me too, Coach Ron(?)Prince, even though he was only there my freshman year, made a huge impression on me. And coach Ted James was great on the field and later as my health teacher. Years later, his little brother is one of my closest friends. aphy teacher was great. She left school the same year I did, I enlisted in the Army, and she went to be an Air Force Officer. I learned a lot in her class, and came away determined to see some of the world. If I could do it again, I would have gotten involved with the jazz band sooner. I waited until my senior year, but had a tremendous time in there. Other than that, I don't think I'd change anything. Being involved in music is something I've carried with me throughout the rest of my life, and the music staff and program at Catalina were instrumental in that.
