Kara's Story
Life
I'm going to miss the reunion, but I wish I could be there! Here's my past 10 years in a nutshell. . .I went to Miami University and graduated in 98 with a BS in Education. I married Scott Shall from Stow that summer. We lived in Cincinnati for 3 years, where I worked as a special ed teacher. Scott went back to school for his master's degree, so we moved to New Orleans where he attended Tulane University. After that, we moved to Lafayette, Louisiana (the heart of cajun country) where he teaches architecture at the University of Louisiana. I taught special ed for two years h...Expand for more
ere and am now working part time in the special ed dept. of a Catholic school. In February of 2003, we had our first child, Sydney Eileen. She had a neural tube defect called anencephaly and died shortly after birth. I could say a lot more about my daughter, but there isn't enough space here. I'll just say that she was a beautiful gift. In January of 2004, our son William Scott was born. Another beautiful gift, and one we are enjoying everyday! Scott and I would love to move back up north someday, but since we don't know when that will be, we are content in Louisiana for now. :)
