Karen's Story
Life
Since the 2002 reunion, I completed a second master's degree, this one in Education - Learning Technologies and finished my PhD in Curriculum & Instruction - Learning Technologies. My dissertation was on the effects of using classroom response systems in computer science courses. I am a faculty member teaching computer science courses at San Juan College. San Juan is a community college with 20,000 students.

We moved to Farmington, NM in December 2006 for my husband's job. Farmington is in the Four Corners, very close to Utah, Arizona, and Colorado. It is a city of about 50,000 people with a surronding area of about 200,000 people who shop here.
My daughter, Meghan, and my two grandkids are staying with us for a while. Meghan graduated from New Mexico State University in December 2009 and is considering grad school for this fall.
I am grandma to Lexie, who is 6 and Kingston (9 months old).
