Karen's Story
Life
I've been working since 1985 with my parents at Pacific Hazelnut in Aurora. I do all the computer and financial work, so I'm quite busy. I married my high school sweetheart, Steven, in 1984 and have 3 beautiful girls, Tara, now 23, Alyssa 20, and Megan 17. We've been divorced since 1997, but are still close friends. I have a Granddaughter who was born in April of 2002, and of course Mackenzie is gorgeous. I have two grandsons (Jordan & Andrew) who were born in August 2003, just 41 hours apart (different mommies), and NO it wasn't planned. 007. Tara had Madison Annette (my mom's middle name too!) on July 25, 2008. (It runs in the family!!!) I'm going to have to take a loan out for Christmas and Megan hasn't even started yet....LOL My two oldest are engaged to be married. Tara is thinking 2010, while Alyssa is planning sometime soon...
I met a great guy in April of 2004 and married him (Brent Freedman) two months later on June 28, 2004 in Reno. Still best friends with Kim Jones (Buchholz, Schneider) and our girls babysit for each other when needed. (She has 1 grandson). Her daughter, Nicole, was just married on June 28th of 2008, so we share the same anniversary!
School
The teacher that inspired me the most was Mrs. Serex, the choir teacher.
