Karen's Story
Life so far in 2024…..
We moved from Seattle, Washington to St. Louis, Missouri late in 2017 due to my husband's relocation with Boeing. I am happy as a clam being close to Oklahoma again and feeling the sun and wind after all the years I lived in Seattle. I had moved to Seattle in 2000 for a position in real estate, but the company quickly dissolved due to 9/11. Afterwards, I worked in Administration and as an Office Manager for a 100+ year old luggage repair and sales family company. In 2006, Bergman Luggage hired me as a Store Manager to reshape and reorganize several of their stores in Seattle to make them more structured and profitable. age son who is 16 years old turning 17 later this year. Wow!! Just not ready for him to grow up so fast! He is a Sophomore in High School and will be a Junior in August. He is involved in several sports and after school activities.
The attached picture is of me and my husband Darrell and son Bret back in 2012. Darrell has worked for Boeing for more than 37 years and had been living and working in Seattle when I met him. He is originally from San Jose, CA. Both of my parents are deceased, and the rest of my family resides in OKC, Texas, and South Dakota. I have missed Oklahoma and the Midwest - it's thunderstorms, lots of sunshine, all the friendly people, all my school friends, and of course, my dancing! I have been, and always will be, homesick for home.
