Karen's Story

Life Even though I am a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician by trade, right now I am a stay home mom. I am married to a wonderful man, Kenneth Sours, we have been married 11 years. My daughter, Elizabeth is 24 now and the mother of a girl and a boy, and twin daughters. (A grandmother already!?) My son, Ned, is 10 years old and doing very well in school and cub scouts. My daughter, Grace, is 9 years old and enjoys school and girl scouts. I am in Lexington Illinois now, in a 128 year old house that we just bought. I love this house and all its character quirks! I am very active as a scouter. I am on roundtable staff, a Webelos den leader for my son's pack, and a committee member of a troop at my church. I also just got called to be the Wolf den leader at the pack at my church. I just got my Wood Badge beads in a ceremony last week. It was hard work, but worth every bit of it! My husband and I have started a really great business, and are ready to share this opportunity with anyone who is open for an opportunity to make extra money in addition to their job. Our business is growing very quickly and we are about to have an international team in Nigeria. School My favorite place to be in school was band. I played the french horn, and that was the only place I felt I could be myself. I remember going into acting class with Patty Crane, whooping. She jokingly said she was a whooping crane. I don't know if I would consider doing it all again. It was tough enough the first time around! College When I was going to College of DuPage in the respiratory therapy certificate program, I was also working full time and a single mother. My oldest daughter...Expand for more
and I were living on the couch of a good friend. I remember that the head of the respiratory department wondered whether I would be able to get the grades I needed or learn what I needed to pass the boards, because I kept falling asleep in class. I recorded the class, so I could review what he said while I was working 3rd shift as a waitress at Denny's in Addison. I not only passed the program, I passed with hight honors! Workplace I had so many jobs it's not funny. I did the burger thing a couple of times, and worked in a warehouse. The longest job I had was at Vogel Peterson where I started as a sewer, then became an assembler when there was not enough sewing to keep me busy. I ended up ther in the office as a marketing clerk. From there, I went to school and became a respiratory therapist. I enjoyed that for a while, working first at Gottlieb, then I moved to Florida where I worked in home care for a while before going back into a hospital setting. When I left Florida, I never bothered to keep my respiratory license current, so I took a job in a bridal shop, then as a school bus driver so I could save child care money by keeping my children with me on the bus. Now, I stay at home and help my husband run our own business. We are in a very good business that generates a good residual income. We enjoy it very much, and would love to share this business opportunity with anyone who is interested in a business that can generate that kind of an income. If you are interested, contact me and I will be happy to discuss it with you to see if you would be a good fit in our group. Our group has just become an international group, and growing exponentially.
