Karen's Story
1/2008 After college I moved to PA for work, met my husband and the rest is history. We live about 2 hours south of Buffalo. Ron has 3 boys from his first marriage, all adults now. We have 3 absolutely beautiful grandkids (are there any other kind!!).
Ron and I also have a 15 year old son. Guess the first 3 boys didnt' do us in during the teen years, so we were crazy enough to try again!! We adopted our son when he was almost 4 from an orphanage in Moscow, Russia. Last year we were successful in a search for my sons birthmom and have since opened up his adoption.
This summer we spent 2 weeks in Russia and got to meet my...Expand for more

I work as a social worker for The ReHabilitation Center in Cattaraugus County, NY - we live in PA, just south of Olean, NY. Most of my career has involved working with folks who have developmental disabilities. A "hobby/passion" of mine is working with parents of foster/adopted children who struggle from the legacy of early childhood neglect/abuse.
