After high school... I attended WSU, and as a freshman was in the marching band and on newspaper staff for the Daily Evergreen. Second year, I was a Resident Advisor at an all women's dorm. Ah the harsh reality of putting oneself thru school. I finished with degrees in English and Psychology, but moved back home to run the family printing business in Kent. I married Keith Turpin in 1991 and moved to Spokane and started a small publishing firm. Eventually, I went back to school for more practical education, picking up my MBA and MPA from EWU. Keith and I moved to Everett to both work for Boeing. We both picked up our MS in Computer Systems (thank you Boeing) and I started on my doctorate in business. We never had kids and ended up carrying for our fathers, one after the other, both diagnosed with and dying from aggressive brain tumors. My marriage didn't survive. We remain friends, but Keith is more of a brother or a fellow war veteran depending how one views the pressures we put on...Expand for more
