Karen's Story

Life Many of you may remember that Joe Powell and I dated in High School and College......he was one year ahead of me and Gradutaed from Notre Dame University in 1964. we married in september1965 after I graduated from Nursing School. He was a Marine Pilot, we had a son, Sean Michael......who is now 35 and engaged to be married next November(2003) I remarried 4 years after Joe's death and have a beautiful daughter who is very close to her brother. oth Sean and Melissa live in Baltimore, just 5 miles from one another. No one is married........including me:)) We are all extremely close and I am so blessed with children that are also my friends. I am a Critical Care Nurse and have been at the same hospital for almost 12 years.I so enjoyed the Reunion in Leesburg last year. It was wonderful seeing so many classmates from what at times, seems like a lifetime ago. I look forward to the next Reunion:)
