Workplace
I am employed as a RN case manager with MedInsights/Gallagher Bassett. I office at home, which is really nice. I travel to Houston frequently for appointments but really enjoy the country life. This job gives me freedom & flexibility. I love the autonomy and also the closeness that I share with my colleagues.
I am very involved in the Case Management Society of America. I was the Houston Chapter CMSA President for 2002-2003 term. I was given the Case Manager of the Year Award for 2005. I have helped coordinate the annual CMSA educational conference and our Spring Fling Educational Cruises to Mexico.
My job allows me to make a difference in someone's life who is injured or ill. It is a great feeling knowing that you can help someone after something tragic happens in their life.
Military
I never served in the military but I am a Navy brat through and through....
