Karyl's Story

Life I'm still doing what I've always loved to do - music! I feel fortunate in that capacity. I taught high school in Miami, did a doctorate at Michigan State (after a masters at U Illinois and undergrad at U Mich - go blue!) I called Ellensburg, WA home for seven years, teaching at Central Washington Univ. Now I'm back to the flat-lands at Illinois State University, as Director of Choral Activities. tic - I get to do music, I get to teach, and I get to be in school! Surely you remember Gene Dyer. (and you English buffs must remember Nadine...) He had a lot to do with my success - we were so lucky at RU to have a great music education. My family is still in Redford and doing well. I didn't have children, but I have my big dog and two cats.
