Katherine's Story
Life
I was born in Plymouth, NC and lived there until I was 11. I attended Washington Street Elementary as well as Lawrence Academy while in NC. My parents divorced and my mom, 2 sisters and I moved to Limerick, ME. We lived alternately with my Great Aunt and Grandparents. I attended Salmon Falls, Massabesic and Kents Hill schools while living in Maine. After graduating high school in 1987 I moved to NYC to attend college. I attended Tobe Coburn. It was a 2 year college, but by attending year round I was able to graduate in 16 months. I stayed and worked in NYC until 1991. I then moved to Raleigh, NC. I worked in retail management for a division of The Limited Corporation. In 1993 I transferred to a new store the company opened in Greensboro, NC. In 1995 I began working at Polo Ralph Lauren. I have been at Polo ever since working my way up to a Senior Management position. Polo is a wonderful company that has grown and is growing by leaps and bounds.
All of my living immediate family is in NC. My mom and stepfather live in Shallotte. My Dad and Stepmother live in Cary. My older sister as well as my younger sister, her husband, 1 niece and 2 nephews live in Greensboro. It is great having all of my family so close.
I live with my boyfriend Ryan. We have been together for 11 years. I met Ryan at Polo where he has worked for almost 15 years. We have a sweet cat named Sophie who we adopted after losing my cat Mia that I adopted when I lived in NYC. Mia and I were together for 17 years. Sophie has been with us for 3 years.
I hope all of my former classmates are doing well and enjoying their lives. IÂd love to hear from them!
