Kathleen's Story
Life
After college, I moved to Atlanta where I lived for 4 years. I moved to New York City in '92, thinking I was going to live there for a year and move back to Atl. We ended up staying in the city for 4 years. I love NYC, but I did not want to have kids there. My husband and I moved to a small town (4 sq. miles) in New Jersey when I was pregnant with our first child. Workplace
After graduating from UTK, I moved to Atlanta and went to work for Macy's South. I worked my way up to buyer and in 1992, they moved me to New York. In '93, I took a great job as a buyer for Ralph Lauren. I was there until '99 when I had my son. In 2001, I went back to work as director of Merchandising for Babies R Us, based in Fort Lee, NJ. In Fall of 2002, we moved to Florida so we could work in my husband's family construction business.
