Kathleen's Story

Just a few thoughts.... Short and sweet...I'm the Catholic Poster Child for large families. :) Thank heaven for the grandkids, I can still watch all the cartoons without someone saying...what are you watching that for?? Even though its been 40 + years, I still remember all my friends and all the good times we had. When my Piqua friends and I talk about "the good ol' days"...I tell them all about my Toledo friends too. They always say...you did WHAT??? !!! I still look the same, feel the same, and act the same as I did back in the '60's.....that is until I look in the mirror, or try to run around the block!! :) Good thing for the grandkids..I can still 'act' the same..:) I have the best Daughters in Law anyone can ask for. And then the best Son in Law you would ever want your daughter married to. The grandkids, of course, are wonderful...but anyone who is a grandma/grandpa already knows that. ;) Let's see...what else?? Genealogy is a hobby..wish I had more time for it. I love taking pictures.... pretty good at it too. I drive the kids and grandkids crazy. But they are the first ones to ask me to e-mail them the pictures. Put me down as a great cook. ...Expand for more
We like to grill outside all the time..summer, fall, winter or spring; rain or shine, or blizzards.....we don't care. ;) I do draw the line at the Tornado Warnings. The kids are always dropping by for an impromto picnic/grilling out. We have 5 acres in the country...with a very run down barn. :) and the house isn't far behind...but we have lots of fun all the time. I love to read..good thing too, since I work at our library. I save my worrying or arguments for the big things, the really important things. Guess you could say, I'm laid back. My dad passed away in 1998, and mom is still with us. She's 91 now, in declining health and Alzheimers. My sisters/brother are fine too. Mary Gwen Gaier, PhD; Jane Tripp Leonard, Lab tech; Patty Tripp Gates, Gates Glass Co; and John Tripp, Accountant, Stone Lab, at OSU. I'm telling you about them just in case you remember them, AND I'm very proud of them!! :) About those questions that some of us have answered on this site...they don't cover everything, do they?
