Kathryn's Story
Let's see I wanted to be either an Archaeologist-a detective-or an artist-none of which my parents would back financially. So east I went to the University of Virginia for a BS in Nursing-then got a Masters in Education. Got married in Charlottesville, Va and moved to Austin,Texas. Then went to school in Ca at UCLA-got a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner Ceritficate-came back to Austin and worked in Public Health/OB/GYN for 33 yrs.The City of Austin sold us to Travis County Hospital District last year-so I'm retired from City and working for the county-same job-differe...Expand for more

In the meantime, I have a small business selling my paintings and photographs.Recently traveled to Greece and Italy and had shows of both travels.
So, at last I'm an artist -working as a nurse.
I live in the country, 30 miles outside of Austin on a small "ranchita" with my Peruvian Paso,Sierra;two dogs-Mija and Mr Winston-rescues and a cat-Mr Mom.
I travel to Winston-Salem in the fall to visit my Sister and see the leaves. And see and keep up with my deceased Sister's kids in Columbus, Ohio.
