Kathryn's Story
Life
I was friends with Linda Polaski and she had met some cute guys on the CB radio and the guy she dated had a roommate at Norton AFB she introduced us in July of 1974. We dated for 6 months and he was transferred to Spain for 2 years. I wrote him letters and he sent me over 100 love letters I couldn't find anyone to compare to him in the time he was away. We had a beautiful wedding 25th of June 1977. We moved to Maine for almost a yr. and moved back to California to March AFB, I was preg. with our first child a boy he was born in Sept 78. In 1980 i was working as a travel agent in Fontana and we decided we wanted another baby so i quit my job and I got preg. with our daughter she was...Expand for more
born in July of 81. Then in 1985 we got orders to Seymour Johnson AFB in NC and we never left, he retired in 95 after 23 yrs in USAF. He had a really good job but it wasn't close to home. We had a nice house we had bought in the country where I could have my horses we had our dream then it was shattered on November 20th 2003 he and a friend were
driving home from work and a girl ran a red light going 60 mph never hit the brakes...hitting my husbands driver door. His friend lived but Ron was severely injured
he was airlifted to a trauma center but he died 6 hours later :'( we would have been married 27 years....I also lost my dear sweet Mother to cancer 6 weeks before my husband....:'(
