Kathy's Story

Life My family moved to Texas before graduation. I first studied Special Ed at college, then got my degree in Journalism. Worked as a copy editor, then section editor at the El Paso Times. Became News Systems editor in 1996, moving eventually into non-daily publications and new media projects. Married fellow journalist, Bob Moore, in 1990. We moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where Bob was editor of The Coloradoan and I worked as New Media Development Manager for the website colorado...Expand for more
an.com. Now we're back in El Paso - Bob as editor of the El Paso Times and I with my own digital content strategy company Digitalegre. I also teach multimedia journalism at the University of Texas at El Paso. We enjoy traveling, particularly in Mexico and were thrilled to finally get to Ireland in 2001 and again in 2004. Also enjoyed Brazil a few years to attend the wedding of our former exchange student. I earned my Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) in bilingual Creative Writing in 2005.
