Kathy's Story
Life
After leaving Pennsbury High School I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree is Speech Communications with an emphasis is Broadcasting from Penn State University. I graduated in 1980. In July of 1982 I accepted a job with CBS Television at channel 10 in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. I married Michael Johnson from North Hills Pa. and we settled back in Yardley and started our family. I have 2 Boys and 1 Girl. Daniel graduated from Pennsbury Class of 2007 and was free safety #20 on the District Champs Pennsbury Falcons Football team. He was a tri-athlete earning letters in varsity football winter and spring track He earned a bachelor of arts from Millersville University where he started as free safety and on special teams on their football team . ourism and currently works for Sea World in HR My youngest is a girl, Taylor who graduated from Pennsbury. She was manager for the Falcon Football team and was overall Captain for Black team where she lead them to victory in 2012-2013 year. She danced competitively with the Knecht Dance Academy in Levittown where she attended for 15 years. She continues to dance and is co-captain of the dance team at IUP where she is working to pursue a major in print journalism and minor in dance.
In 1991 I left CBS TV to sell advertising for CBS Radio and then an Independent AM radio station in Philadelphia.
In 1993 I came back to CBS Television to help the local station during the Winter Olympics and was asked to stay on. In 1995, NBC bought our station and I am currently Manager of Sales Service and Broadcast Operations at NBC10 Philadelphia. My Dad will be inducted in the Football Hall of Fame at Pennsbury. He was a tri-athlete for earning varsity letters in football, basketball and baseball.
