Kathy's Story
Life
After high school, I went to college and obtained a degree in music education. I taught for 3 years in Omaha and got tired of limited budgets for music. I went to graduate school and obtained a Master's degree in Counseling. My various jobs have included alcohol/drug treatment center, student counseling at a university medical center campus, employee assistance and now clinical supervisor at a community mental health center. until 8 years ago when I moved to Ames, Iowa. I love the community and my current job.
This year is the 40th anniversary of our HS graduation. Yikes!! I don't know where the time has gone. Since my family transferred several times while I was in high school, I went to 3 different schools. Many friendships were cut short. That was my one regret--that I never had enough time to develop close friends.
