Kathy Minor:  

Hello, of course by now you know that my name is Kathy. I was one of the first students to step foot inside Manor Lake Elementary, now Manor Middle School. I was on the first drill team, I was in the 6th grade. There was only the 5th and 6th grades at the time. I loved the school, it was so new and fresh. We did not have a mascot, so we called ourselves Manor Lake Corn Flakes because of the location. This name was given by us kids, jokingly. I went on to Geeter Jr. High and, after completing the eight grade my family moved to Danville, IL. I graduated hight school up north and went on to college. After dropping out of college I decided to do some traveling after a two year failed marriage to find myself. I was later diagnosed with an eye disease called Fuch's. Years of having a pity party I decided it was time to do something about my condition and return to school. I became a licensed day care provider, and went to school full time. I have a son that is 33, and 3 teen boys that I would not trade for the world. I graduated in May of 2009 after returning to school, and received my Associate's Degree, and now I am working towards my Bachelor's in Philosophy which I have now my minor.
